Laser smoothing & tightening of your facial skin with little to no down-time!

PROCEDURE

1. The esthetician will cleanse your face and neck.

2. Your skin will then be prepped with a microdermabrasion.

3. Dr. Rainone will make several passes over the treatment area with the HoyaConBio Medlite™C6 laser (a Q-switched Yag).  This  non-ablative skin resurfacing laser removes dead keratin
and stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin.

The sensation resembles the prickly, tingly feeling on your wrist from a  Fourth of July sparkler.

4. A cool towel is applied, followed by a masque and soothing cream and SPF sunscreen.



RESULTS & RECOVERY

You will experience both immediate and delayed results over the following 10 days to two weeks.

Typically skin appears pink or light red like a mild sunburn for several hours and occasionally into the next day.
Hives, swelling or severe redness is rare.   Brown spots can temporarily appear browner as they coalesce to the surface and slough indetectably over the days to weeks to follow.

A series of 3 treatments usually one month apart is recommended for best results as well as some ongoing maintenance, typically quarterly.  The number of treatments and the degree of maintenance varies.

While laser facials are by no means a replacement for a face lift,
the satisfaction rate is high given the alternatives.
This procedure does not require the healing and recovery time necessary
with ablative or fractional lasers, surgery, or deep chemical peels.

Raised, thick, ropey or keloid scars are usually treated steroid micro-injections by Dr. Rainone.
